Writing to my dream reader || Blogutions DAY 8

Hello there reader!

You! Yes you! You are my dream reader. Anyone who takes the time out of their day to sit down and read these words that I have furiously typed out before midnight in a bid to get some sleep is my dream reader. I appreciate everyone who comments, likes or even clicks to read my posts. I could never fathom that there were people who were interested in my life, adventures of midnight ramblings.

When I thought about blogging and followers before  I started this, I thought of really popular blogs, the internet personalities. I never imagined myself as one of these, but I always felt like blogging would be a one way forum. They put out information, people read it, like it and spam the comments either attention or views on their page. There was little back and forth between writer and reader. I suppose this will always happen when a blog gets popular as there is not enough time to reply to everyone who comments. I have never been a frequent commenter on YouTube or blogs for this very reasons. I am sure that my comment might make them smile if they were to ever come across it, but wouldn’t it be the same as everyone else. I am not trying to get attention, I just want them to know I appreciate it, but it can look like I am trying to get attention. The struggle is real! (I know first world problems!).

I was actually really surprised when I started blogging and following people. While I am putting out information and people are commenting, like with those popular blogs. I am also looking back at those blogs (like I’m sure the popular blogs do, no disrespect) and I’m learning things about these people. They know a portion of my life and I know a portion of theirs. It feels that there has been an exchange of information, and I really value knowing these little tidbits about peoples life. It makes me appreciate how unique everyone is. I have come across so many people from completely different walks of life. I had only imagined following people that blog about my interests, whether it be beauty or food or the television shows and games I play. Yet here I am following people who are sharing their personal triumphs and disasters, whether it be a mother raising a handful of kids or a teenager or a girl studying to be a vet. There are people on here that I would have never formed a relationship with in my everyday life, yet I am starting to know certain things about these people. I am starting to see how even a different upbringing in the same city has made us two completely different worlds away. I’ve only lived in one place my entire life and that’s what I find normal, so it’s bizarre to read how other people think and why they think like that. On a sidenote, I suppose that is why I lose myself in books as I am living a life, vicariously, that I would never have lived otherwise.

So thank you for reading, my dream reader! I’m definitely going to be checking out all of your blogs (just after I get some sleep!)

    1. Don’t worry! I’ve kept a bookmark on your blog so I could sit down and carefully read your posts, I gave them a little once over a few days ago, I just wanted a good amount of time to fully consider your posts! I’ve just gotten a two hour break from work, so today will be that day! Sorry for making you wait!
